Education student, Mr Luthando Molefe, is thrilled to be among UKZN’s Top 40 Most Inspiring Students.
He was nominated by his peers on the Edgewood campus and was one of the winners of the annual Spotlight on Greatness Competition that is reviewed by the University’s Corporate Relations Division.
This is not Molefe’s first UKZN milestone. His achievements include awards for academic excellence, community engagement and leadership skills/roles.
‘I am delighted to receive such a prestigious award due to my hard work and dedication. I feel I now possess all the attributes of a UKZN Ambassador, which are academic excellence, community engagement, University service and research. My work has not gone unnoticed,’ said Molefe.
Working for the Edgewood Environmental Forum - a community-based non-profit organisation which educates and raises awareness on environmental consciousness - afforded Molefe the opportunity to communicate with diverse stakeholders on how to transform the communities surrounding Edgewood and the campus itself.
