UKZN Appoints Campus Directors
The University of KwaZulu-Natal has appointed Campus Directors to manage activities on all its campuses.
Their responsibilities include liaising with local communities, mitigating risk and instilling pride in the respective campuses.
Professor Nana Poku, Deputy Vice-Chancellor for the College of Law and Management Studies will serve as Campus Director for the Westville campus. Deputy Vice-Chancellor for Teaching and Learning, Professor Bala Pillay, will manage the Howard College campus. Professor Busi Ncama, the Deputy Vice-Chancellor for the College of Health Sciences, will look after the Medical School campus while Edgewood campus will be served by Professor Stephen Mutula, the Acting Deputy Vice-Chancellor for the College of Humanities. Professor Albert Modi, the Acting Deputy Vice-Chancellor for the College of Agriculture, Engineering and Science will serve as Campus Director for the Pietermaritzburg campus.
Executive Director for Human Resources, Dr Siphelele Zulu, said the appointments will assist in ‘addressing all pertinent operational campus issues’. He congratulated the appointees, saying the University community will provide them with the necessary support to ensure that they succeed.
