Enactus UKZN, impacting livelihoods by connecting people to prosperity.Enactus UKZN Makes National Finals
“Winning has a price”, is a sentiment shared by the Enactus UKZN team and it has given them the tenacity to rise above any hurdles.
The team competed against 14 other institutions at the Enactus ZA 2022 National Competition on 14 July.
The journey to reach this milestone called for intense focus, a tenacious work ethic and a collective commitment to produce work of the highest standard.
The national preparation camp brought the team closer together and members dedicated long hours to produce a display of their entrepreneurial action and commitment to serving communities.
The team represented the Institution well on stage in the competition presenting two of their community-based projects, MyDigiTutor, which is an innovative digital tool connecting tutors and learners through our web-based platform, providing job opportunities, expanding access to education through quality tutoring and other support programmes and iVendor, which aims to uplift, upskill, and impact informal entrepreneurs, especially women by providing them with additional streams of income to improve their livelihoods.
Enactus UKZN was placed third nationally.
The team acknowledged UKZN for supporting them all the way, with special thanks to Executive Director: Corporate Relations, Ms Normah Zondo for being present on the day of the competition to show support.
