Celebrating UKZN Women!
The Men’s Forum Central Committee of the UKZN HIV/AIDS Wellness Programme hosted an event titled, “We Love, We Care”, on the Edgewood campus to honour and show respect to all UKZN women.
The aim of the event was to show appreciation for women at the University and the important role they played in making South Africa a better place. Women from all five campuses were entertained by a Men’s Forum team which included poets, singers, dancers and waiters.
Poets cited works showing appreciation for women and the vital role they played in life.
Singing and dancing group Abathandwa entertained the gathering with their sweet harmonies and entertaining dance routines. Men’s Forum Chairman, Mr Khetani Njoko, thanked the guests for attending and briefly explained the reason behind the event.
HIV/AIDS and Wellness Programme Co-ordinator, Ms Nomonde Magantolo addressed the audience on the role of a Men’s Forum at the University and emphasised the importance of responsible behavior on campus.
