Local Government Expert Appointed to Board of Flagship Professional Journal
Local government specialist Professor Purshottama Reddy has been appointed to serve on the Board of the most-read public administration professional journal in the world.
For the next three years Reddy will be making a contribution to global public administration knowledge as a member of the board of editors of Public Administration Review (PAR), the flagship journal of the American Society for Public Administration (ASPA).
Reddy said he is honoured to be nominated to serve on the Board and is looking forward to contributing his knowledge, to exchanging information, and working alongside international experts in the field.
‘The success of Public Administration Review owes much to the hard work and commitment of its distinguished board of editors. The status of PAR as the premier professional journal in public administration is due, in part, to the thoughtful and constructive evaluation of manuscripts by members of the board of editors,’ said PAR Editor-in-Chief Professor James L Perry.
Members of the PAR board are expected to uphold the values and principles of ASPA in general and PAR in particular, review manuscripts in a timely manner, and serve on committees as assigned by the editor-in-chief. It is also an expectation that members of the board are ASPA members.
