Mr Sandhir Sewmungal.UKZN Student Publishes Book on Bullying
UKZN Tourism student Mr Sandhir Sewmungal (21) has written a book titled The Unknown Journey which details his harrowing experiences of being bullied while he was a pupil at a high school in Durban.
Sewmungal advises young people who are being bullied to lean on family and friends as valuable support structures.
He hopes The Unknown Journey will serve as a source of solace. ‘I have overcome my experiences and this book enables me to help other victims who are perhaps suffering in silence.’
Sewmungal, who believes the book will inform parents about what may be happening at their children’s school, encourages parents to report any bullying and create awareness to protect other children in the future.
