UKZN Academic Appointed to Editorial Advisory Board of Encyclopaedia

UKZN academic, Professor Gregory Kamwendo, has been appointed to serve on the international editorial advisory board for the third edition of the multi-volume Encyclopaedia of Language and Education. 

Kamwendo is a Professor of Language Education and Dean and Head of the School of Education in the College of Humanities. 

The encyclopaedia will be published by Springer under the editorship of an internationally respected scholar, Professor Stephen May of Auckland University in Australia. 

As members of the editorial advisory board, Kamwendo and his colleagues will provide expert advice on the appointment of volume editors and the updating of existing volumes in terms of contributions and topics; and to provide a quality assurance review role for selected contributions. 

‘It’s a wonderful experience for me to work together with some of the biggest names in terms of language education scholarship such as Stephen May and Nancy Hornberger. I will learn a lot,’ he said.
