The Friends of the International Students (FoIS) from the School of Applied Human Sciences recently hosted a farewell function for its postgraduate international students.
Fifty postgraduate international students from countries such as Ghana, Nigeria, Zimbabwe and Zambia, attended the function from both the Pietermaritzburg and Howard College campuses.
The students wore traditional clothing from their countries, with traditional food served and performances given by the Amatsheketshe Traditional Dancers.
International students were given a platform to share their experiences at UKZN and South Africa in general.
The function was opened and closed by the Dean and Head of the School of Applied Human Sciences, Professor Nhlanhla Mkhize.
