Prestigious Atmospheric Sciences Award for Agrometeorology Graduate

A paper emerging from the research of agrometeorology graduate Dr Floyd Khosa, now a data scientist at Santam Insurance, received the South African Society for Atmospheric Sciences (SASAS) Stanley Jackson Award for the best research paper in atmospheric sciences in South Africa in 2020.

The Centre for Communication, Media and Society (CCMS) within the School of Applied Human Sciences, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Art A Resource for Reconciliation Over the World, South Africa (ARROWSA).

UKZN Study Recommends Laparoscopic Nephrectomy as Standard of Care for Nephrectomy in SA

It is possible to implement laparoscopic nephrectomy (LN) as the standard procedure for nephrectomies in South Africa, according to the results of a study conducted by UKZN honorary lecturer, Dr Avikar Singh, and colleague, Dr Ronald Urry of the Sefako Makgatho Health Sciences University in Ga-Rankuwa.
