
Medical Sciences Student Graduates Summa Cum Laude after Uphill Battle
Ms Akhona Sikutshwa was awarded her Medical Sciences degree summa cum laude from the School of Laboratory Medicine and Medical Science.
Dr Duyilemi Chris Ajonijebu was always determined to venture out beyond teaching into the challenging field of research and proof of his success in doing that was evident for all to see when he was awarded a Doctor of Philosophy (Physiology) degree.
Dean’s Commendations in each of her six years of study, Certificates of Merit in five of six final year subjects, graduating with an MBChB cum laude and receiving several subject prizes like the EB Adams Award for the Highest mark in Medicine and the Eucerine Dermatology award, Dr Lisha Jeena can look back with a huge amount of pride and satisfaction on her Higher Education achievements.
UKZN’s Department of Dermatology in the School of Clinical Medicine recently awarded seven top performing Dermatology final-year Medical students with Eucerin Awards valued at one thousand rand (R1 000) each during the Final Year awards ceremony held by the College of Health Sciences at UKZN Howard campus.
