College academics earn PhDs: from left, Dr Ntabeni Jere, Dr Evelyn Derera and Dr Sanjay Soni.For the first time in the history of the College of Law and Management Studies, a remarkable 43 doctoral degrees were conferred upon staff and students during the 2016 Graduation period. This was a resounding success if one considers that 19 and 23 doctoral degrees were awarded in 2014 and 2015 respectively.

Ms Xolile Mpumela.Ms Xolile Mpumela’s research titled: “Equitable Share Formula and Fiscal Capacity in Municipalities with Particular Reference to the Msunduzi Municipality”, resulted in her being awarded a Master of Public Administration (MPA) degree.
