UKZN Dancers Shine
UKZN dance winners at eThekwini Championship 2015.

UKZN dancers from Westville and Edgewood campus clubs continue to excel on the dance floor, collecting trophies in competitions.

The most recent successes were achieved at the eThekwini Championship Competition held at the Newlands East Community Hall.

Dumisane Mbokazi and Khona Malambo from the Westville campus won the Latin American Level 2 section and came second in the level 4 Ballroom division. Another dress section also from Westville campus Kwazikwakhe Makhathini and Thobekile Mthembu won the Ballroom Novice

Sanele Gumede and A Jantjies also of Westville were second in Ballroom level 2 and in Latin American level 2.

N Mahlangu and N Xulu of Edgewood were first in Level 1 Ballroom, and second in Level 1 Latin American.

UKZN dancers are well-known and respected across South Africa in dance sport, thanks to a large extent to the support they get from the UKZN Sports Administration.

The dancers thanked their sponsors, the Sport Union and Sport Admin office, under Mr Ganie.

The dancers are all confident they will do well in the 2015 South African National Achievers and Dance Sport Championship Competition in Kimberly from 10-12 December.
