Ms Faren Naidoo graduates as Midwifery top student.

Bachelor of Nursing graduate Ms Faren Naidoo of Pinetown is UKZN’s best Midwifery student.

The 22-year-old who is currently completing her community service and ready to pursue study for her masters degree, said she was overwhelmed and filled with excitement when she received the award for Best Midwifery Student.

‘I am proud of my achievements and grateful to my Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ for bringing me thus far,’ said Naidoo.

She is passionate about what she does and has a burning desire to excel and achieve all the goals she sets.

The main challenge she faced was juggling the specified clinical hours of her community service with time to study and complete assignments timeously.

‘I was aware that UKZN was a reputable university as both my older siblings graduated at Howard College. It was always a goal of mine to acquire a degree from the Institution so that I could one day further my studies.’

Naidoo thanked her parents and siblings for being a pillar of strength throughout the last four years ‘providing ample guidance, support and love’.
